[ It doesn't make any sense to go from walking into the carriage of a mysterious train at Tokyo station, to finding yourself close to completely submerged in what appears to be dirt and soil. Though she's always been tough to the core, anyone would experience some panic when met with such a situation. Thankfully, it's not Nobara's instinct to scream when alarmed (and it would be stupid to, given the limited oxygen). Instead, she starts to reach outward, clawing and clamoring her way out of the soil until she can feel a fresh breeze against her skin. She digs her head and body out soon after, relief washing over her as she takes in the fresh air.

And there's a guy ... Asking her what she's doing ... It's not like she chose to emerge in the ground! ]

I conditioned my hair last night, and now there's soil all over it. Disgusting! There's going to be hell to pay for whoever did this. [ There's a very pointed scoff. Finally, she turns to Claude. ]

You there with the braid. Explain what's going on.

[ Well— those certainly are a set of priorities. He supposes that he should be glad that she's hardy enough not to be too phased by being kidnapped and whisked away to a new dimension. ]

You're on a train.

[ Hopefully she knows what that is. He feels like she's not about to attack him, so he wanders over and crouches down next to her grave. ]

I don't know how much I can really tell you. There's a bunch of us from all kinds of different worlds, who have been brought here by some unknown force for some unknown person. [ He tugs the collar of his shirt down to show his number: 376. It glows gold. ] And we all have one of these.

[ She won't attack him physically but could she attack his spirit at some point? It's possible. ]

Gross. [ As Claude explains the situation, Nobara puts on a sour, disgusted look as she continues to dust the soil off of herself. Hearing his explanation on the situation doesn't faze her either. ]

So we just have to find that guy, huh? [ And commit violence. She glances at his number now, and her own that's been placed on her right palm. 262. ]

Why's yours higher than mine?

[ He gives her a confused look. She seems to be handling all of this rather clearly, which is... fine. Girls are terrifying. ]

Find what guy? [ He assumes she means the clownductor, but he might as well clarify.

Her second question gets him to shrug. ]

No idea. I haven't figured out what these are for.

Whoever's ... stealing people away so they can't go to their eyebrow appointments!

[ A very relatable problem Claude can surely understand. As she huffs out in frustration, she also points at Claude like all this is his fault somehow. There's a exasperated sigh. It doesn't look like she's going to get many answers right now. ]

Well, I'll worry about these later. Who're you?

[ Eyebrow appointments? ]

Claude. [ He just keeps studying her, apparently not at all bothered by her accusatory finger. ] I've been here about two months, so you might need to learn how to manage your eyebrows yourself.

Hah?! Two months?! No way I can stick around that long!

[ Beyond trivial hair and brow appointments, she does actually have to go to school and carry out missions. Though she can't sense cursed energy coming from the train, she doubts it's as simple as finding the door and walking out. ]
